Introduction
Welcome to The Paw Village. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website, services, and the adoption process. By using the site or submitting an application, you agree to be bound by these terms.
If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services. Where we reference other policies (such as the Health Guarantee, Shipping & Delivery, or Refund Policy), those documents form part of this agreement.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter binding agreements in your country to adopt a puppy or place a deposit through The Paw Village.
The information you provide in any application or contact form must be accurate, current, and complete. You are responsible for keeping your contact details up to date so we can reach you about your application or puppy.
Use of Platform
When you use our site or services, you agree to the following ground rules.
- Use the site for lawful adoption-related purposes only
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Respect other users, our team, and partner organisations
- Do not scrape, copy, or republish our content without permission
- Do not impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
- Do not interfere with site security, performance, or other users
Adoption Terms
Adoptions are managed individually so each puppy ends up in the right home.
Approval
All adoptions are subject to a written application and our internal review. Submitting an application is not a guarantee of approval.
Payment
A deposit is required to reserve a puppy. Final balance is due before pickup or delivery, as set out in the application.
Right to Refuse
We reserve the right to decline any application at our sole discretion if the match is not in the best interest of the puppy or the family.
Reservation
A reserved puppy is held for the applicant for the agreed period. If the balance is not paid by the deadline, the reservation may be released.
Payments
Fees, deposits, and balance amounts are agreed in writing before payment. The deposit secures a puppy while we review your application. The balance is payable before pickup or delivery.
Refund situations are handled per our Refund Policy. Payment processing is provided by certified third-party providers; we do not store full card details ourselves.
Health Responsibility
Each puppy is vet-checked and fully vaccinated for its age before leaving our care, and arrives with a 30-day Health Guarantee.
After handover, the adopter is responsible for ongoing care, nutrition, vaccinations, and routine veterinary checks. Conditions outside the guarantee period or arising from improper care are the adopter's responsibility.
Delivery Terms
Delivery options, timing, and fees are described in our Shipping & Delivery Policy. Pickup and delivery are scheduled around the puppy's welfare; delays caused by weather, traffic, or admin matters are communicated as soon as we know.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, The Paw Village is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses that arise from your use of the site or services. Our total liability for any claim related to a single adoption is limited to the amount paid for that adoption.
Nothing in these terms limits responsibility we cannot legally exclude, including liability for fraud or for matters required by consumer protection law.
Account Access
We may suspend or terminate access to the site or services at our discretion if a user breaches these terms, provides false information, or engages in conduct that harms our team, our partners, or our community. Where reasonable, we will explain the reason and give time to resolve the issue.
Intellectual Property
All content on the site, including text, images, logos, branding, and code, is the property of The Paw Village or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not copy, redistribute, or use any of this content commercially without our written permission.
Changes to Terms
We may revise these terms from time to time as our services or applicable laws change. The date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. If the changes are material, we will let you know clearly through the site or by email. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any dispute that cannot be resolved through good-faith discussion will be handled by the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless local consumer protection law requires otherwise.
